Free and Easy Wanderer

Chinese herbs have helped calm the mind, body and spirit for thousands of years with formulas that focus on balancing one’s mood and emotional state.

Xiao Yao San which translates to Free and Easy Wanderer, is one such classical formula. It is a 8 herb combination and is the most prescribed herbal formula in our clinic.

The main intent of Xiao Yao San is to move stagnant Liver Qi, nourish the blood and strengthen digestion.

Liver Qi often becomes stagnant as a result of stress and anxiety. When Liver Qi is stagnant, the blood becomes stagnant, creating a variety of issues, many of which may relate to the female reproductive system.

This perfectly balanced formula has a wide range of uses. It can be taken to ease stress, improve digestion, aid with insomnia, boost mood and energy and it’s most common use is it to treat PMS and peri-menopausal symptoms.
